From the age of Four Alex loved holding an Instamatic camera his father had given him. From there he graduated to a Paxette rangefinder, and then SLRs - summers spent in darkrooms enjoying the power of images to create a new world. Selling his first image to an Adidas basketball sponsor at age 15, he has lived, studied and worked in Asia and Australia - assisting commercial, fashion,, industrial and wedding photographers in Melbourne and Auckland, and shooting for models, businesspeople and designers. He regularly covers NZ Fashion Week and shoots portraits when he is not being dragged around by the two dogs that he looks after.
